Terms

This site is a portfolio demonstration. Nothing on it is an offer to sell, no order can be placed and no payment can be taken. The catalogue, the prices and the studio details are illustrative. These terms are written as a working shop's terms would be, and would take effect on the first real sale.

These terms apply to everything you buy from StreeDhara, at 14 Kaveri Road, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru 560004, India. They are governed by Indian law, and the courts of Bengaluru have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

Every piece is handwoven, and we hold exactly one of each design. Slubs, small irregularities in the weft and minor variation between the two ends of a piece are characteristics of handloom, not faults, and are not grounds for return.

Colour on your screen will differ from colour in the room. If exact colour matters, ask us for a daylight video before you buy, or come and see the piece.

Prices are in Indian rupees and include GST. Because we hold single pieces, a saree shown on the site may be sold by the time you enquire. No contract exists until we confirm your order and take payment.

We will hold any piece for 48 hours without payment. We reserve the right to correct an obviously wrong price before we accept an order, and to refuse an order.

We ship within India tracked and insured, and worldwide at cost. Delivery estimates are given per order and are estimates rather than guarantees. Any customs duty or import tax in the destination country is yours to pay. Risk passes to you on delivery.

You may return an unworn saree within 7 days of delivery, with tags intact and the blouse piece uncut, for a full refund of the price paid. Commissioned pieces cannot be returned once the warp is dressed.

The window, who pays return postage, what cannot be taken back and how long a refund takes are set out in full in the refund and returns policy, which forms part of these terms.

We ask for half the agreed price before work starts and the balance before dispatch. Loom time is an estimate, not a guarantee. Weather, festivals and the weaver's own schedule move dates, and we will tell you as soon as we know.

Photographs, text and the StreeDhara name are ours and may not be reused without permission. We try to keep stock and prices accurate but the site is provided as it is, and we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free. How the site handles your data is set out in the privacy policy and the cookie policy.

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our total liability for any order is capped at the price you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 are not affected by anything in these terms.
